Even though it was rumored NOT to be happening, XETV, the former FOX affiliate in San Diego, will become the new CW affiliate. Here's a link to their official press release posted today. XETV will become San Diego 6 on August 1, as the FOX affiliation moves over to the former CW local affiliate, KSWB. Confused? Yeah, so am I. It's definitely musical affiliations.
The good news is The CW, home of popular shows such as Reaper, Gossip Girl, Smallville, Supernatural, and more (we'll refrain from listing Beauty and the Geek...sorry, folks), will retain a local affiliation here in San Diego. The rumor was we'd have KTLA from Los Angeles added back into the cable systems. All of this happens on August 1, with plenty of time to get established and in our memory banks before the big fall TV schedule debuts. Providing the actors don't go on strike, that is.
That's okay!! Let KTLA stay right at the old CW channel 69-lol!!! I don't like their news broadcasts anyway!! They are always laughing and joking around instead of being professional every now and then!! It's like watching a newscast anchored/co-anchored by a bunch of kids!!
