Today's Tip o' the Day...

If you watch The Big Bang Theory Season 2 on DVD and you pause at the end of each episode to read Chuck Lorre's "vanity card" comments, when you hit "play" and the DVD resumes, the last beat of the music sounds like a fart.

Minutiae...

Today I saw a truck with this company name painted on the side: CHIHUAHUA PLUMBING.

Okay...this opens up a whole new train of thought for me. Is it a company name or a new way to clear pipes? Are they:

a) So in love with their cute little doggie, they named the company after him?

or

b) Using chihuahuas to crawl through the pipes and unclog them?

It could happen.

I have a new strategy when it comes to telemarketers: I just hang up on them. So far it's NOT working. They keep calling back. While I get a certain, deep-seated amount of satisfaction from my action, they still keep calling. The offenders this week are the unrepentant publishers of the one of the great rags (NOT a compliment) in American newspapers, the San Diego Union-Tribune. Why anyone would think I would actually WANT to pay for this piece of shit newspaper is beyond me. They've called me at least 5 times this week. One would think the hanging up part would mean something.

(Introducing a whole new IB category...Minutiae!)

I hate new bars of soap.

I have really small hands and a new bar of soap almost always ends up crashing to the tub with my feet flying to avoid being hit. They're big and bulky (new bars of soap--NOT my feet), and they're slippery as hell, if used properly.

I think they should do some kind of "weathered" soap, processed in such a way to make them easier to handle and smaller. Or some kind of "junior" bar, for those of us that are height-challenged and have smaller appendages. And those hotel bars...TOO small. Don't go suggesting them to me.
