Former governor of Alaska and vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin has a book coming out this week, (Tuesday, to be exact), so expect to see her practically everywhere in the coming days. Well, let's amend that...she won't be on Letterman, and she'll probably stick to all the wonky right-leaning talk shows like O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Hannity, and maybe even that paragon of utter over-the-top lunacy Glenn Beck. Oh and she's doing some show called "Oprah," which I've never heard of...so god knows who watches that and where.
The book is called Going Rogue, but I'm convinced Palin originally thought it was a book about make-up titled Going Rouge. I find this woman to be as smart as a rock, but as dangerous as one in the hands of a belligerent baboon who will throw it--I'm not kidding, he WILL--so get ready to duck, sucker.
When I first learned that Palin's publisher had moved up the publication date from spring to Nov. 17, my standard joke was Palin must have colored both pages in record time. I can't take credit for that...I believe I heard it first from Johnny Carson, years ago, when the Gerald Ford Library opened somewhere, and he used it in reference to the accident-prone ex-prez.
Palin scares me shitless, to be honest. I'm hoping Going Rogue isn't her announcement of a third party run for president in 2012, but it won't surprise me if it is. And if she even has a chance in hell of winning, I'll be going rogue, too...in Canada.
Oh, and that dogshit remark in the title of this post? It's from an old TV newsroom saying, referring to someone who is incredibly over-exposed: "She's like dogshit...she's EVERYWHERE." Watch where you step--or which channel you click on--this week.
(Ironically, there actually is a book called Sarah Palin: Going Rouge. I actually think it's more up Sarah's actual skill-set alley.)
I could`t believe it, but it`s true..just heard about that thing in the radio...people had preordered that XXXXXXzensoredXXXX in such quantitys, it`s a bestseller before on the table....good god....beam me up Scotty, there is no intelligent life form here..
