Things on and off my mind...
I don't get the current "Kentucky Bourbon" commercials for Carls Jr. (which may be Hardees depending on your location in this great nation of ours). It features a surgeon extolling the virtues of bourbon, leading you to believe he drinks before surgery, but actually he's talking about the new bourbon-flavored burger at Carls Jr. It might work if he could say something like "knocking back a tall one," but instead he says "knocking back a BIG one," which could mean ANYTHING but not a drink. And what is the message here? All doctors drink? All doctors love bourbon? I don't get it. AMA sue their asses.
I'm over Facebook. I know way too much about a lot of people I really don't give a shit about. Sorry, but it's true. I also absolutely despise reading all these stupid quizzes everyone takes. There are certain things I DO like about Facebook, but they're becoming fewer and much farther between.
30 Rock had the funniest 2 minutes of television I've seen in a long time on tonight's episode. It was a phone chatline (read "phone sex") commercial Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) did in her quest to become an actress while living in Chicago. I laughed so hard I almost puked.
I spent way too much time tonight trying to update the firmware on my Blu-ray player to absolutely no avail. A word or two to you readers considering buying a Blu-ray player: DO NOT BUY ONE MADE BY SHARP!!! They suck. (Yes, that's a valid technical evaluation.)
Thank you for your time and consideration. I must go now and add more Facebook friends to my list of "less information about this person." This could take HOURS.
I did "liz." And then after realizing what I did, I "jacked"." Just a little.

i recently joined facebook. if there was a way to filter out _all_ the stupid apps and quiz posts i would like it a bit more. i also have to wonder why people take the silly things. i am not willing to give up the personal info requested in order to use any of them.
i do like the hide feature so i can block out people's info in my stream who are annoying with their use of apps. they are also people who are putting up status comments like they are twittering about what kind of toilet paper they are currently using.

At least the Carl's Jr. commercials aren't as bad as the Boost Mobile ones.
And you may have almost puked, but were you "lizzing?" :: grin ::
