You may find yourself here because you typed "Chrissy Russo" in that little Google box on your web browser. A goodly number of readers have made that trek to these here pages and found the interview I did with Chrissy when she moved over to the Fox 5 Morning News show back in August.
I've stayed in touch with Chrissy since that interview last summer and I'm happy to share the fact that she has a nice one-page feature article in the April issue of Pacific San Diego Magazine, which can be found at select restaurants, bars, and offices in San Diego's downtown, uptown, and Mission Valley areas, plus up and down the coast from Pacific Beach to Carlsbad. (In other words, just about everywhere.) You can click on the link above to see back issues, and undoubtedly the current issue will be posted sometime soon, so check back. Look for the actual magazine though, because there's some great photos of Chrissy with the article, including a larger--and better!--version of the one to the right. Dave Good is the photographer.
We're not the only one with a fondness for Chrissy, even first thing in the morning when anyone with that much energy deserves...well, I'd normally say to be shot. But we have yet to resort to writing any songs about her. This guy evidently feels differently. Congratulations, Chrissy...you're slowly becoming the master of all media, and you're the only meteorologist I know who has her own song.
Finally, if you're not watching Chrissy in the morning, consider this a semi-unbiased plug, even if they still have her playing "attack of the 50-foot woman" on that ridiculous mega-map thing, usually in a cute pair of slippers sent in by some viewer. I especially recommend watching on Fridays, when the whole on-air crew gets a little punch-drunk and giddy from 2:30am wake-ups and four long, lonely hours on the air each day. You think you know TGIF? Work that shift and tell me how thankful you are for the weekend, bub.
