Not exactly Twittering my life away...
If you glance to your left and let your eyes rest at the top of that honkin' big red column, you'll notice I have an area for "Twitter updates." Sadly, I haven't updated it in a while--a whole week as of this writing (it will most certainly be more by the time you read this).
I signed up for Twitter because I thought it would be cool to post my innermost thoughts (in less than 140 characters...how's that for pressure to be profound AND pithy?) at any given time. But mostly I signed up for it because I thought it was very cool that I could do it on my iPhone, and even add an extra button on the home screen that not everyone has. ("See this button? I push it and there goes China. POOF.")
But I was wrong, lots of people Twitter. Lots of YOUNG people Twitter, and I am not young, I admit it. And really, do I want you to know where I am every second of every day? More importantly, do YOU want to know? No. I thought not. I don't blame you. Add in the fact that it's down--A LOT--and it seems to cause a delay when I call up my blog ("waiting for Twitter..."--wasn't that a Samuel Beckett play?), and you have this candid confession: we're on the fence about Twitter, when a few weeks ago, we were...well, all a-Twitter about it. Now? Not so much.
You tell me: do you like Twitter? More importantly, do you like me on Twitter? When I Twitter, do you pay attention to what I Twitter? Are you tired of seeing the word Twitter in this post? Have you ever seen the word Twitter used so often in any one entry?
I'll stop now. (You're welcome.)

I actually read a few of your Twitter updates...
Lara Logan... :D

I came here to see what you were doing right this second, and this one, and the 14 or so it took me to type this phrase I'm typing right here, and this is what I get? Hmph.

I signed up for Twitter about a week ago due to an artist marketing consultant saying it was a good way to market oneself. So far I don't see it. I think you may be on to something regarding the age gap. I don't have a mobile device with which to enter tweets anywhere other than here at the main computer station. Plus I don't think my life is sufficiently interesting to detail on the internet. I'm pretty much ignoring it now in favor of work that has to get done.
